The Edelbrock 7814 is a Performer-Link true-roller timing chain set built as a stock replacement for Ford's 221-351W small-block family from the mid-1980s through the mid-1990s, specifically for engines that came with a two-piece fuel pump eccentric or fuel injection setup. It's aimed at engine builders doing a rebuild or cam swap who want a durable, accurate-timing replacement rather than a stretch-prone stock chain.

The solid-bushing design keeps a true bearing surface rolling with the sprockets instead of sliding against them, which is what keeps chain stretch (and the ignition/valve timing drift that comes with it) in check over the life of the part. Three keyway positions on the sprocket let you dial cam timing 4 degrees advanced or retarded from stock, useful if you're chasing a specific power curve on a cam swap.

Because this is billed as a stock-replacement part, it's built for street use and stays 50-state legal, capped at 6,500 RPM - if you're building toward higher RPM or a full race application, this isn't the set for that. Note also that it's chain and sprockets only: gaskets, bolts, thrust bearing, and offset bushings for a complete timing cover job aren't included and need to be sourced separately.
