Product Description

The Edelbrock 1406 is a 600 CFM, 4-barrel square-bore carburetor designed for street-driven small-block and small-displacement big-block V8 gasoline engines. Its all-aluminum two-piece body resists warping and reduces weight, while the electric choke improves cold-start drivability. The rear-pivot float design and tub-style fuel bowls offer reliability, easier maintenance, and fewer leak paths.

Featuring metering rods instead of traditional power valves, the 1406 provides smoother throttle response, stable tuning, and easy jet adjustments. With both timed and full vacuum ports, it is compatible with vacuum-advance distributors. Factory-installed jets and rods provide a balanced tune suitable for street applications. Because this is a universal-fit carburetor, suitability depends on intake manifold type, engine displacement, and fuel system configuration.
