Product Description

The Edelbrock 1221 is a 14-inch round chrome air cleaner built with a deeper flange than the standard #1207, specifically so it works directly with Edelbrock square-bore and Quadrajet carburetors without needing a separate spacer or banjo fitting. It's the simpler out-of-box option if you're running one of those carb types and don't want to track down extra hardware.

Construction is the same triple-chrome-plated 18-gauge steel as the rest of Edelbrock's Pro-Flo line, and it shares styling with Edelbrock's Signature Series valve covers if you're matching engine bay parts. The base includes knock-outs for an optional crankcase ventilation adapter, sold separately.

Because this is a universal part rather than a vehicle-specific one, the numbers that matter are your carburetor's air horn diameter (5-1/8") and available hood clearance (roughly 3.75" from the carb flange) - not your car's year, make, or model. Several retailers list broad classic-car applications by name (various Buick, Chevrolet, Ford, Mopar, and GM products from the late '50s through '80s), but that reflects which carbs those cars originally used rather than a vehicle-specific EBC-style fitment confirmation, so I'd treat carb spec as the deciding factor over any make/model list.
