Product Description

The EBC RP-X DP82454RPX is a dedicated motorsport front brake pad engineered for BMW's G-Chassis M Car family - covering the G87 M2, G80 M3, G81 M3 Touring, G82 M4, and G83 M4 Convertible, all sharing the S58 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six and factory 6-piston iron rotor brake setup. Built from EBC's ultra-high performance carbon-Kevlar race compound, the RP-X delivers a stable 0.55µ friction coefficient from cold up to 850°C with full braking effect from the very first pedal application.

RP-X is particularly well suited to the heavy, under-servoed character of the G8X chassis, where its aggressive bite and 25% higher friction over the RP-1 compound translates to confident threshold braking in the highest-load track scenarios. Each pad uses stainless steel backing plates with NUCAP NRS hook-retention technology to prevent debond at race temperatures, while pad life runs 20-30% longer than the RP-1 compound. Cast iron rotor applications only - not compatible with BMW M Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB).
