  • 2009-2010 Pontiac G8 GXP
  • 2012-2013 Buick Regal GS / Premium

Features

  • Laser-cut titanium heat-shield shims to mount behind brake pad backing plates
  • Perforated design reduces conductive heat transfer - protects caliper seals and brake fluid from excessive heat
  • Helps maintain pad-to-caliper clearance and consistent brake feel under heavy use
  • Reusable on multiple pad changes - durable titanium resists corrosion and wear
  • Thin profile avoids over-thickness that can cause pad drag or poor pedal feel
  • Compatible with most calipers: sliding or multi-piston (shim count depends on caliper type)

Specifications

  • Material: Titanium
  • Shim backing dimension (typical pad backing size): ~131 x 75 mm (varies per pad design)
  • Usage: Front and/or rear pads (depending on pad set and caliper configuration)

Included Components

  • Full set of titanium heat-shield shims - enough for all pads on an axle (quantity depends on caliper type)

Product Description

The EBC SH1210 titanium shims provide an effective thermal barrier between brake pads and caliper pistons/bridges - reducing heat transfer to caliper seals and brake fluid by insulating pad backing plates. This helps maintain consistent brake performance, reduces seal wear, and improves overall braking reliability during heavy braking or track-oriented driving.

Because they are laser-cut from titanium and perforated, SH1210 shims combine high strength, corrosion resistance, and minimal thickness - enabling easy installation without compromising pad fitment or clearance. They are reusable each pad change (unless damaged), making them a smart long-term upgrade for performance or heavily used braking systems.

Before installation: remove any existing rubberized or factory shims from the pad backing, ensure the titanium shim sits flat and clean, and verify that total pad + shim thickness maintains correct caliper clearance to avoid pad drag or spongy brake feel.
