Product Description

The EBC DP51854NDX Bluestuff NDX pads are a full-race front brake compound built specifically for Gen 2 MINI Cooper S JCW models equipped with the factory 4-piston Brembo front brake kit. Matched to the JCW's 316mm front rotors - 22mm larger than the standard Cooper S setup - these pads deliver the high-friction stopping power that the turbocharged 1.6L JCW demands under hard driving. At 0.52 Mu, the NDX compound provides immediate cold bite and a progressive, controllable pedal feel, making them equally effective at an autocross event, a track day, or a spirited back-road session.

EBC's NUCAP NRS hook bonding system and chemical interlayer ensure the friction material stays firmly locked to the backing plate under sustained thermal stress - essential for the repeated hard braking the JCW's Brembo system enables. The pre-scorched surface shortens bed-in considerably. Note that this pad is specific to the JCW's 316mm Brembo front setup - the standard Cooper S uses a different pad shape and requires EBC DP51789NDX instead. For all Gen 2 JCW body styles across R55 through R59, the DP51854NDX is the correct Bluestuff front upgrade.
