Vehicle Fitment

  • 1998-1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V (CP9A, 2.0L Turbo 4G63, AWD) - GSR trim only
  • 1999-2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI (CP9A, 2.0L Turbo 4G63, AWD) - all trims including Tommi Makinen Edition
  • 2001-2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII (CT9A, 2.0L Turbo 4G63, AWD) - GSR, RS, and GT-A
  • 2003-2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII (CT9A, 2.0L Turbo 4G63, AWD) - all trims including MR, RS, and SE
  • 2005-2007 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX (CT9A, 2.0L Turbo 4G63, AWD) - all trims including MR, RS, SE, and MR Touring

Fitment Notes

  • Does not fit the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V RS - the RS trim uses a smaller 294mm front rotor; the GSR is the 320mm variant
  • Does not fit the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (CZ4A) - the Evo X uses an entirely different front brake specification
  • Verify your current front rotor diameter is 320mm before ordering - earlier Evo IV and lower use different specs
  • Thermic Black coating does not require removal before install - clears naturally from the pad contact zone within the first 10-20 stops
  • Do not fit upgrade pads to the rear unless the same upgrade is also fitted to the front

Features

  • Wide-aperture slots draw cool air under the pad contact zone, reducing heat buildup and preventing brake fade under aggressive driving or track conditions
  • Blind-drilled dimples provide superior pad degassing without the stress crack risk of through-drilled holes
  • Thermic Black anti-corrosion finish protects all non-contact areas from road salt, brine, and moisture
  • Unidirectional rotor design optimized for left and right side placement for maximum front braking effectiveness
  • 32mm vented construction matches the OEM Brembo-equipped front brake specification across Evo V-IX platforms
  • Precision CNC machined to within 0.05mm tolerances; 100% runout and dimensionally inspected before release
  • Cast from G3000 high-carbon grey iron - the same spec used in OEM production
  • Passed European R90 brake safety standards; proven to run significantly cooler than non-slotted rotors

Product Description

The EBC GD975 3GD Series Front Brake Rotors are a precision direct-fit upgrade for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V through IX, covering the CP9A and CT9A platforms across all GSR, RS, and MR trims. The Lancer Evolution's AWD drivetrain and rally-bred character place serious demands on its front brakes, and the GD975's dimpled-and-slotted surface actively draws cool air through the front contact zone to expel heat, gases, and brake dust - delivering noticeably more consistent front braking performance whether you're pushing through canyon roads or warming up for track day.

Each rotor is individually balanced and runout-inspected before leaving the factory for smooth, vibration-free performance from day one. The Thermic Black coating shields non-swept areas from corrosion and clears naturally from the contact zone during break-in - no prep required. EBC recommends pairing these rotors with Yellowstuff or Bluestuff front brake pads and a 500-mile bedding period with progressive braking to fully seat the pad-to-rotor contact surfaces.
