Product Description

The EBC DP41207R Yellowstuff front brake pads are engineered for the Porsche Boxster (986 and 987) and Cayman (987) fitted with standard cast iron front rotors. Covering the original 2.5L Boxster through the 2.7L variants on both the 986 and 987 platforms, these pads deliver significantly higher stopping power than OEM pads with strong cold bite right from the first press of the pedal. The aramid fiber compound builds progressively stronger as temperatures rise, making DP41207R an excellent street upgrade for Boxster and Cayman owners who drive with confidence and want braking to match their car's handling capability.

These are not a low-dust compound - Yellowstuff produces moderate dust similar to OEM levels, but it washes off easily without staining. The red Brake-In surface coating shortens bed-in time by conditioning the rotor face after installation. Note that these pads are strictly for cast iron rotor applications; vehicles equipped with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) require a different pad specification entirely. For balanced braking performance, EBC recommends pairing with a matching Yellowstuff rear pad set.
