Product Description

The EBC DP3997C Redstuff ceramic front brake pads are engineered for high-performance Porsche and Volkswagen/Audi platforms that share a common large-caliper brake architecture. Covering the air-cooled 911 Turbo (964 and 993), the front-engined 928 GTS and 968, along with a wide range of MkIV through MkVII VW Golf, Jetta, Passat, and Audi A3/S3 applications, these pads deliver approximately 80% less brake dust than stock while providing progressive, fade-free stopping power from cold. The red Thermic brake-in coating enables safe braking immediately after installation, and the fully shimmed, chamfered construction eliminates noise and vibration across all supported platforms.

Redstuff is EBC's flagship low-dust street compound, formulated specifically for heavier, faster, and more powerful vehicles. It excels on high-horsepower Porsche applications where clean wheels and strong, consistent street braking are priorities. As a harder compound, full bed-in may require up to 1,000 miles of urban driving - a minor cold-weather chirp during this period is normal and clears with light pedal application. For optimal brake balance, EBC recommends pairing DP3997C with matching Redstuff rear pads on the same axle grade.
