Product Description

The EBC DP42454R Yellowstuff pads are a front axle set engineered for the BMW G87 M2, G80 M3, and G82/G83 M4 equipped with the OEM Brembo caliper and cast iron rotors. The aramid fiber compound delivers strong cold bite from the very first pedal application -- a characteristic that separates Yellowstuff from most performance compounds, which require heat to reach working friction levels. Friction continues to increase with heat buildup, and the stable 0.48µ coefficient is maintained through 450°C, making these pads equally effective on a cold street commute and during aggressive mountain runs or performance driving events. The FMSI D2478 pad shape is specific to the 380mm Brembo front brake package across the G8x M family.

The compound is fully shimmed, slotted, and chamfered for quiet, smooth operation, and each pad ships with a brake-in surface coating to accelerate the bedding process. EBC reformulated Yellowstuff in 2021 to a copper-free compound that complies with current environmental legislation. Pads are ECE R90 road-use approved. For dedicated track days, EBC recommends street-bedding the pads first (100-200 miles of urban use) before a track session, or alternatively upgrading to EBC Bluestuff NDX (DP52454NDX) for faster track bedding. Not compatible with the optional Carbon Ceramic Brake (CCB) package. Covered by a 1-year / 10,000-mile warranty; warranty is void for racing and competition use.
