The EBC DP42435R Yellowstuff rear brake pads are engineered for Audi owners who demand stronger stopping performance without sacrificing daily drivability. Built from an aramid fiber compound infused with ceramic granules, these pads deliver a significantly higher friction coefficient than factory pads, translating into noticeably shorter stopping distances in both urban and highway driving. The Yellowstuff compound is one of the few high-performance formulations that works effectively from cold, meaning there is no warm-up lag when pulling out of a parking garage or making an emergency stop on a cold morning.

Designed as a direct rear axle replacement for a wide range of Audi MLB and MLBevo platform vehicles - including the A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q5, SQ5, and Q7 - the DP42435R installs onto factory calipers without modification. Each pad is pre-shimmed, slotted, and chamfered at the factory, and arrives with EBC's proprietary Brake-In surface coating to speed up the bedding process. The Nucap NRS hook system mechanically locks the friction material to the backing plate, providing a safety margin that adhesive-only bonding cannot match.

While the updated copper-free Yellowstuff compound is no longer recommended for dedicated track use due to its longer bedding cycle, it remains an outstanding choice for spirited street driving, towing, autocross, and modified vehicles with additional weight or increased horsepower.
