Product Description

The EBC DP42415R is a Yellowstuff 4000 series rear brake pad set for the 2019-2025 BMW 3 Series (G20), 4 Series (G22/G23/G26), 2 Series (G42), Z4 (G29), and Toyota GR Supra (A90 MKV) -- covering both standard and M Performance variants across RWD and xDrive AWD configurations. The Yellowstuff aramid fiber compound is EBC's highest-friction street performance compound, delivering exceptional cold bite and progressive pedal feel without requiring any warm-up. Unlike most high-friction compounds, Yellowstuff works from the first cold stop and gets stronger as temperatures rise, with a stable friction coefficient through sustained hard braking.

The 2021 reformulation removed all copper from the compound to comply with environmental legislation -- the updated formula lasts longer but requires a 100-200 mile street bed-in before optimal performance is reached. For this reason, EBC recommends Bluestuff (DP5 series) for drivers who need immediate track performance with fresh pads. Yellowstuff is not a low-dust pad; dust output is similar to OEM.
