Product Description

The EBC DP53043NDX is a Bluestuff NDX rear brake pad set engineered for the 2015-2023 Ford Mustang S550 platform equipped with the Performance Package -- covering GT, EcoBoost, Bullitt, Mach 1, Shelby GT350/GT350R, and GT500 variants across the full S550 production run. Bluestuff NDX carries EBC's highest street-use friction coefficient at 0.52 Mu, delivering immediate cold bite without the warm-up period required by most race-grade materials, and increasing in friction output as temperatures rise under repeated hard stops. EBC's chemical interlayer bond system increases shear strength by a factor of three over conventional organic pad construction, and Nucap NRS mechanical locking hooks on the backing plate provide an additional mechanical bond to eliminate pad separation under extreme loads. Pads are factory heat-scorched to reduce green fade and cut bed-in time to a handful of stops. Deep V-grooves vent heat from the friction surface and collect the debris and pad dust generated during aggressive driving, maintaining a clean contact patch between pad and rotor. Despite its race-oriented friction level, Bluestuff NDX is exceptionally rotor-friendly -- leaving rotor surfaces smooth rather than scored, extending rotor service life alongside the pads. Performance Pack only -- this pad fits the larger vented rear rotors fitted to PP-equipped S550 Mustangs. Base brake package Mustangs require DP53041NDX. Do not upgrade the rear axle alone -- install matching upgraded pads on the front axle simultaneously. ECE R90 approved for street use. Made in the UK.
