The EBC DP42185R Yellowstuff Street and Track Front Brake Pads are engineered for the 2014-2018 Japan-built Mazda 3 (BM / BN chassis), 2016-2022 Mazda CX-3 (DK chassis), and 2020-2024 Mazda CX-30 (DM chassis), all sharing the same FMSI D1728 brake pad shape and larger front brake setup. The Yellowstuff aramid fiber compound delivers high friction from cold start with a 0.5 coefficient that improves brake effect approximately 30-40% over factory pads, with zero brake fade under sustained heavy use and ECE R90 certification for street legality.

Every pad features the patented EBC Brake-In surface coating that accelerates pad seating, edge chamfers and centerline slots for noise control, and powder-coated backing plates for corrosion resistance. The 2021 reformulation removed copper to meet environmental legislation. Working temperature range extends from cold to 900°C (1652°F), making the pad equally suited to spirited street driving and short-duration track use. For Mazda 3 applications, verify the build plant on the door jamb VIN sticker before ordering -- Mexico-built Mazda 3 vehicles use the smaller 280mm front rotor and require DP43033R instead.
