The EBC USR280 is a USR Series sport slotted rear rotor covering two distinct Ford compact platforms built nearly two decades apart: the 2000-2007 first-generation Ford Focus and the 2015-2019 Ford Fiesta ST. USR, EBC's Ultimax Slotted Rotor range, is positioned as their premium, silent street line -- built for fast street use without sacrificing the low-noise operation that everyday drivers expect from a rear rotor.

Each rotor starts from R90-approved G3000 grey iron, then goes through EBC's full quality process: batch checks for metallurgy, X-ray inspection, balance, and dimensional accuracy. The narrow, progressively-angled slot pattern is specifically engineered to eliminate the wind noise that plagues many sport rotors, while still delivering the core benefits of slotting -- cooler running, faster de-gassing under load, and clearing of dirt, water, and debris from the rotor face.

That slotted design also promotes flat, parallel pad wear over the rotor's life, avoiding the ridging and galling that develops on non-slotted rotors over time. The result is more consistent pad contact and braking feel as the rotor and pad set wear together, rather than the degrading performance typical of a plain rotor paired with an aggressive pad.

This is a solid, non-vented rear rotor -- appropriate for a rear axle where venting is rarely necessary -- finished in a black Thermic coating for corrosion resistance, and sold as a matched 2-wheel set.
