These pads utilize a carbon granule-based friction compound that achieves a GG friction rating -- the highest available for any truck or SUV pad -- delivering exceptional stopping power for towing, heavy payload driving, and steep descents. The compound is effective from cold with strong initial bite and remains fade-free at temperatures exceeding 1,400°F, well beyond what is experienced even under the most demanding braking conditions.

The Nucap NRS hook technology backing plate provides five times the bond strength of conventional pads, while high-volume Vee grooves in the friction surface clear debris and cool-vent the hot center areas of the pad for consistent performance. Despite the aggressive friction rating, the Extra Duty compound is rotor-friendly, minimal in dust, and noiseless -- making it well suited for daily street driving alongside its heavy-duty capabilities. NUCAP piston insert shims are included for additional noise suppression.
