  • 2006-2010 BMW 650i Coupe (E63, N62 4.8L V8, RWD) - ATE rear caliper
  • 2006-2010 BMW 650i Convertible (E64, N62 4.8L V8, RWD) - ATE rear caliper

Fitment Notes

  • ATE rear caliper fitment only - this rotor is machined to the 345x24mm specification used by the ATE single-piston rear caliper found on the above models; it does not fit E60/E63/E64 variants equipped with the M Sport Brembo rear caliper, which uses a different rotor hat diameter and offset
  • Does NOT fit base-trim E60 models with the smaller 320mm rear rotor package - specifically excludes 525i, 528i, and 530i, which use a narrower rear disc (EBC D1245 / USR1245 series); verify your vehicle's rear rotor size before ordering
  • Does NOT fit the E60 M5 or E63/E64 M6 - M cars use a dedicated Brembo compound-caliper rear brake system and require different rotors entirely
  • Sold as a matched pair (left + right rear rotors) - both rotors are included in the set
  • FMSI Pad Number: D919 - verify pad compatibility using this number; EBC Redstuff, Greenstuff, or Yellowstuff pads in D919 shape are recommended for optimal performance with these rotors
  • Verify your rear caliper type before ordering - if uncertain whether your E60/E63/E64 has ATE or Brembo rear calipers, check the caliper manufacturer stamp or consult the BMW build sheet using your VIN

Features

  • USR (Ultimax Slotted Rotor) series - EBC's premium silent street sport rotor designed for spirited road use on performance sedans and grand tourers, featuring a narrow progressive-angle slot pattern that evacuates heat gas, water, and debris from the pad surface without generating the wind noise typical of wide-slot or drilled designs
  • Slotted profile maintains flat and parallel pad wear across the full friction face throughout the rotor's service life, preventing the edge ridging and pad galling that causes pulsation, vibration, and uneven braking feel on plain or drilled-only rotors
  • Precision-machined from high-specification G3000 grey iron castings - the highest grade standard grey iron used in EBC's automotive rotor range - for superior thermal stability, consistent friction, and resistance to cracking under repeated hard stops
  • Vented (internally ventilated) rotor construction - the 24mm-thick ventilated disc circulates air through internal cooling channels, reducing operating temperatures at the pad-rotor interface during sustained high-speed driving and heavy braking
  • GEOMET or NITROTHERM anti-corrosion coating applied to all non-braking surfaces including the hat, cooling vanes, and outer edge - delivers durable rust protection and a clean appearance without requiring removal before installation; the coating is swept away from the friction faces by the brake pads within the first 10-20 stops
  • 100% individually inspected for runout at EBC's UK facility before shipment - each rotor is measured one by one for dimensional accuracy to guarantee zero rotor distortion out of the box, eliminating the brake pulse and pedal vibration caused by out-of-spec castings
  • All EBC rotors are final-machined in the UK under BS5750/ISO quality control certification; a significant proportion of the castings used in EBC rotors are also UK-manufactured
  • Backed by EBC's 12-month / 10,000-mile limited warranty against manufacturing defects (excludes race and competition use)

Product Description

The EBC USR1219 is a matched pair of rear slotted sport brake rotors engineered for the 345mm ATE rear brake system used on the higher-displacement and turbocharged variants of the BMW E60 5 Series and E63/E64 6 Series - specifically the 535i, 545i, 550i, 645Ci, and 650i. These are serious performance grand touring machines producing between 300 and 400+ horsepower from BMW's N54 and N62 engine families, and their braking systems - particularly the rear axle, which carries a substantial share of deceleration load from highway and autobahn-speed driving - benefit significantly from a quality slotted rotor upgrade over standard OE replacements.

The USR series uses EBC's narrow progressive-angle slot geometry, which is deliberately finer than the aggressive wide-slot designs seen on many aftermarket sport rotors. This geometry provides all the functional benefits of slotting - heat gas evacuation, debris clearance, and consistent pad degassing - while generating minimal aerodynamic noise at the speeds these vehicles are designed to cruise. More importantly, the slots enforce flat and parallel pad wear throughout the rotor's life. On a plain rotor, pads and discs inevitably develop complementary ridges as the friction surfaces mate unevenly over time, leading to the judder, pulsation, and inconsistent pedal feel that E60/E63 owners frequently mistake for warped rotors. The USR slot pattern physically prevents this ridge development, keeping the braking contact area full and consistent from new until the rotor reaches minimum thickness.

Manufactured from G3000 grey iron and 100% individually inspected for runout at EBC's UK plant before shipment, the USR1219 is coated with GEOMET or NITROTHERM anti-corrosion finish on all non-friction surfaces and is ready to install straight from the box - no preparation or coating removal required. EBC recommends pairing these rotors with their Redstuff, Greenstuff, or Yellowstuff pad compound in FMSI D919 shape for the full performance benefit of a matched pad-rotor set. Important: this rotor fits the 345mm ATE rear caliper specification only. It does not fit base-trim E60 525i/528i/530i models with the smaller 320mm rear rotor, and it does not fit M5/M6 models with Brembo rear calipers. Always confirm your rear caliper type and rotor size before ordering.
