The EBC DP41589R is a set of Yellowstuff 4000 Series high-friction front brake pads for a wide range of Lexus IS, GS, and RC platform vehicles spanning 2006 through 2023 -- including the IS350, IS500, IS300, IS200t, GS350, GS430, GS460, GS450h, GS200t, RC350, RC300, and RC200t in both Base and F Sport configurations. EBC Yellowstuff is the company's flagship high-friction street brake pad, using an aramid fiber-based compound that delivers high braking effect from cold without requiring warm-up for street use, yet progressively improves as temperatures rise under heavy braking -- delivering 30 to 40 percent improvement in braking effect over factory pads. The Yellowstuff 1793 compound is ECE R90 brake safety approved, meaning it is tested and certified to work at least as well as OEM pads from cold, with dramatically superior performance under heat loading.

Each pad features EBC's proprietary Brake-In surface coating for rapid bed-in after installation, center-line slots to manage heat and prevent thermal cracking, beveled edges for quiet operation, and noise reduction shims where applicable. The copper-free formula meets current environmental legislation requirements. EBC Yellowstuff has a green fade threshold of 400°C (750°F) -- the maximum expected temperature in fast street driving -- making it ideal for spirited road use on high-horsepower sedans and coupes. For dedicated track use where sustained temperatures exceed 500-600°C, EBC recommends their Bluestuff or RP/SR series race pads instead.
