Product Description

The EBC DP41518R is a Yellowstuff rear brake pad set on FMSI D1108 for a wide range of Audi and Volkswagen platforms -- covering the A3 8P, A4 B6/B7, A6 C6, TT/TTS MKII, TT RS 8J, Golf V/VI/VII, GTI, Jetta V/VI, EOS, Passat B6, R32, Golf R, and Tiguan. Yellowstuff uses EBC's 1793 aramid fiber compound, which delivers a stable friction coefficient of 0.42 µ from cold all the way to 450°C -- the key distinction from most high-performance compounds that require a heat cycle before reaching usable friction levels. Cold bite is immediate, making these suitable for street use without a pre-drive warm-up routine.

EBC updated the Yellowstuff formula in 2021 to remove copper and comply with environmental legislation. The new mix runs longer than the previous formulation, but requires a longer bed-in period -- 100 to 200 miles of normal urban driving. For drivers arriving at the track with fresh pads, EBC now recommends BlueStuff NDX instead, which beds in significantly faster. Yellowstuff remains EBC's first recommendation for fast street driving, higher-HP cars, and trucks or SUVs where cold bite and heat resistance under load are the priority.
