The Eaton Truetrac 913A368 is a high-performance, helical-gear limited slip differential designed for Chrysler's 9.25-inch rear axle with 31-spline shafts. It replaces an open differential to greatly improve traction, especially under load, in slippery or off-road conditions, while maintaining smooth operation on pavement. Because of its gear design, it operates quietly and requires minimal maintenance.

This part fits many Dodge, Ram, Plymouth, and Chrysler vehicles from about **1974 through 2010** that are equipped with the 9.25" rear axle (including both C-Clip and non C-Clip styles), provided the axle has 31 splines, uses a 12-bolt "stop-sign" style cover, and uses gear ratios anywhere between 2.76:1 and 4.56:1. It does **not** fit 2011+ Ram 1500 "ZF" 9.25" axles where the internal geometry / differential type changed. Before installation, confirm the ring gear size, spline count, axle shaft diameter, and gear ratio in your vehicle. Installation involves removing the OE differential carrier, setting backlash/preload to factory specs, using proper torque on the cover bolts, and filling with the appropriate GL-5 gear oil. Leaf spring or coil spring rear suspension designations don't directly affect this part, but correct housing assembly matters.
