Product Description

The Eaton K-C9.25-11R is a complete master differential installation kit engineered for the Chrysler 9.25 in. ZF (C235) rear axle on 2011 and newer applications. It is designed for use with Eaton differential part number 917A730, and provides every bearing, shim, seal, hardware piece, and gasket needed to properly set up an Eaton differential or perform a ring and pinion replacement in this axle - all in a single box. By bundling every required installation component together, Eaton eliminates the time and risk involved in sourcing individual parts from multiple suppliers and ensures that all components are matched and appropriate for the application.

The kit includes premium front and rear pinion bearings, a matched set of carrier bearings, pinion and carrier shim sets for precise gear backlash and bearing preload adjustment, a crush sleeve for setting pinion preload, a pinion seal, pinion nut, 12 ring gear bolts, and a differential cover gasket. The bearings are selected by Eaton to deliver long service life and quiet operation when properly set up. Builders should note that axle seals and axle bearings are not included in this kit and must be sourced separately if they are being replaced as part of the differential service.

This kit is specific to the 2011 and newer Chrysler 9.25" ZF axle configuration - it is not interchangeable with the pre-2011 Chrysler 9.25" axle (which uses kit K-C9.25-10R). The ZF-manufactured rear differential introduced with the 2011 model year Ram 1500 uses different bearing and hardware specifications than the earlier 9.25" Chrysler design. Confirm both the axle generation and the Eaton differential part number (917A730) before ordering to ensure this is the correct kit for your build.
