Product Description

The Eagle CRS5765C3D set of connecting rods is a high-performance upgrade built specifically for GM's Ecotec L61 2.2L natural aspirated engine. Designed with competition in mind, they are forged from 4340 steel stocks, feature an H-beam profile, shot-peened and fully machined finished, and built to precise tolerance. The small end is bushed to accept full-floating wrist pins for durability at high RPMs, and each rod is matched in weight for balance.

These rods are ideal for anyone modifying or rebuilding Ecotec 2.2L engines in Cavaliers, Cobalts, HHRs, Malibus, Grand Ams, or Saturn Vues from years 2002 through 2010. They significantly outperform stock rods under boosted, high-stress, or high-RPM applications. During installation, fasteners must be torqued to **43 ft-lbs** using ARP moly lube on the threads to ensure bolt integrity. Fitment is confirmed through 2010; 2011 and onward models do not reliably use the L61 2.2L engine, so 2011+ compatibility is **unconfirmed**.
