The factory Bronco tailgate is not designed to carry the long-term weight of an oversized spare tire - the hinges and frame can experience accelerated wear and sag, particularly with larger, heavier wheels and tires commonly used in off-road builds. The TCBR-02 absorbs the combined weight of the spare tire and tailgate door, transferring that load to a stronger steel anchor point and significantly reducing stress on the factory tailgate hardware.

Built from 4mm and 5mm steel and finished in a micro-texture black powder coat, the carrier is engineered to hold the spare tire and tailgate door firmly in place even on rough, jarring terrain. Self-lubricating brass bushings provide smooth, maintenance-free swing operation for the life of the carrier. The factory tailgate retains its greater-than-150° opening capability so rear cargo access is fully preserved.
