Fitment Notes

Product Description

The DV8 Offroad SPJK-04 is a set of rear shock and link skid plates engineered for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK and JK Unlimited. The factory rear shock mounts and lower control arm link mounts are among the most vulnerable and lowest-hanging components on the JK's rear axle - prone to direct rock strikes, ledge impacts, and dragging that can bend, crack, or tear the thin OEM steel brackets. The SPJK-04 slips over these factory mounts in a single-piece design that reinforces the brackets while providing a tough, sacrificial steel barrier between the hardware and the trail.

Sitting at the lowest point of the rear axle, the skid plates also help the Jeep slide over obstacles rather than catching on exposed shock hardware - a meaningful improvement for rock crawling and technical trail use. They are compatible with most aftermarket shocks and lift kits, making them equally useful on stock JKs and built trail rigs. Piggyback shocks with fixed lower reservoirs are the one exception - the reservoir will conflict with skid plate fitment. Installation is fully bolt-on with no cutting required, and most owners complete the job in approximately 1.5 hours.
