Vehicle Fitment

  • Universal Fitment - Compatible with automotive, powersport, motorcycle, marine, and RV exhaust systems. Fits any exhaust pipe up to 2 inches in diameter without welded brackets or fittings that would prevent sliding the sleeve over the pipe end.

Fitment Notes

  • Pipes must be free of welded brackets, fittings, or obstructions along the sleeved section to allow proper installation - the sleeve must be slid over the pipe end
  • Do NOT wrap catalytic converters - overheating can reduce converter lifespan; use DEI Catalytic Converter Shield or Floor & Tunnel Shield II instead
  • Pipe diameter must not exceed 2 inches for the sleeve to fit properly

Features

  • Made from the same lava rock-derived Titanium fiber material as DEI's premium exhaust wrap - providing equivalent insulation performance in a clean, professional sleeve form
  • Rated to withstand 1,800°F direct heat and 2,500°F radiant heat - suitable for demanding high-performance and racing applications
  • Woven lava rock construction is extremely soft, skin-safe, and pliable - no need to wet before installation and no irritating fibers
  • Reduces underhood heat radiation to protect nearby components including wiring, fuel lines, and rubber hoses
  • High resistance to chemicals, oil spills, and abrasion for long-lasting durability in harsh engine environments
  • Reduces temperature and vibration-related degradation of exhaust components for extended service life
  • Clean, factory-style appearance compared to traditional wrap - ideal for show vehicles, custom builds, and powersport applications
  • Designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA by Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI), founded in 1995

Product Description

The Design Engineering DEI 10022 is a Titanium Exhaust Sleeve Kit offering a clean, professional alternative to traditional exhaust wrap. Made from the same powdered lava rock-derived Titanium fiber as DEI's wrap products, this 2-inch diameter sleeve slides directly over exhaust pipes to deliver equivalent thermal insulation with a far more attractive finish. It is rated to handle up to 1,800°F of direct heat and 2,500°F of radiant heat, making it suitable for demanding street performance, powersport, and racing applications across automotive, motorcycle, marine, and RV platforms.

Unlike conventional exhaust wrap, DEI's Titanium sleeve does not require wetting during installation and produces no skin-irritating fibers, making it significantly easier and more comfortable to work with. The woven construction is highly resistant to chemical exposure, oil, and abrasion, while also reducing vibration-related wear on exhaust components. Each kit ships with four stainless steel positive locking ties in two sizes and a dedicated tie tool to ensure a solid, rattle-free installation. Note that pipes must be free of welded brackets or fittings along the wrapped section, and the sleeve must be installed by sliding it over an open pipe end. Catalytic converters should not be wrapped.
