Product Description

The DEI 50520 Floor & Tunnel Shield II is a high-heat barrier built for the areas of a vehicle where extreme temperatures are a constant problem - firewalls, transmission tunnels, floor boards, fuel cells, and similar high-heat zones. Its multifaceted aluminum surface reflects radiant heat while a patented, finely woven glass-fiber backing provides the insulating mass, keeping heat from transferring into interiors and damaging nearby components or electronics.

At just 3/16" thick, it's thin enough to shape and trim for a custom fit even in tight-clearance areas, and it works across a wide range of surfaces - metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, plastic, and more. This is the non-adhesive version, so mechanical fastening or a separate adhesive is needed for installation, and the aluminum side must always face the heat source. It should never be applied directly to exhaust components.
