Product Description

The DEI 50525 is a precision die-cut transmission tunnel plate heat shield engineered specifically for the 1997-2005 Chevrolet Corvette C5. Excessive heat radiating through the center console is a well-documented issue on the C5 platform across all body styles, caused by exhaust heat transferring through the factory underbody transmission tunnel reinforcement plates. DEI's solution applies directly over the factory tunnel plate - no disassembly required - using a peel-and-stick adhesive that holds past 450°F.

Built from an embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8" composite glass-fiber core, this shield withstands up to 1,750°F of direct heat and significantly reduces console and interior temperatures. Compatible with all C5 body styles including the Coupe, Convertible, Fixed Roof Coupe, Z06, 50th Anniversary Edition, and Le Mans Commemorative Edition.
