Product Description

The DBA DB15003SP is a front axle Street Performance brake pad set purpose-built for the Kia Stinger GT platform (CK, 2018-2023) equipped with the 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 and its factory Brembo 4-piston front calipers. The Stinger GT's Brembo setup is a strong OE braking system, but the factory pads are well known among Stinger owners for producing excessive brake dust and developing disc thickness variation (DTV) under spirited driving - a combination that causes pedal pulsation and rotor glazing over time. The DB15003SP addresses both issues: its copper-free semi-metallic carbon-fibre compound runs substantially cleaner than the OE pads while delivering more consistent friction across the full operating temperature range, maintaining its characteristics at sustained higher temperatures where the OE compound begins to fade or transfer unevenly onto the rotor surface.

With an operating ceiling of 500°C (900°F), the DB15003SP covers the full demand range of spirited daily driving, canyon and mountain road use, and occasional track day sessions without requiring the harshness of a full-race compound. Application-specific chamfers and a centre temperature-stability slot are machined into each pad for quiet, fade-resistant operation; application-specific NVH shims are factory-fitted to eliminate rattle and brake squeal. The factory-scorched friction surface shortens the bedding-in window significantly, which is particularly valuable on a vehicle with large 350mm front discs where a proper bed-in cycle can otherwise require planning.

This pad is compatible with the Stinger GT in all drivetrain configurations (RWD and AWD) across all 2018-2023 model years, including GT, GT1, GT2, GT Elite, and the limited-run Tribute Edition. It does not fit the Stinger 2.0T variants, which use a non-Brembo sliding 2-piston front caliper with a different pad shape - confirm caliper type before ordering. The DB15003SP replaces the discontinued DB15003 and shares the same front pad geometry (FMSI D2145: 130mm W x 91.75mm H x 15.25mm T). For the best complete front braking upgrade on the Stinger GT, DBA recommends pairing this pad with T2 slotted Street Series or T3 slotted 4000 Series front rotors. One set of four pads covers a complete front axle replacement. Wear sensors are not included.
