The DBA DB2429XP is an Xtreme Performance rear brake pad set engineered specifically for the Honda Civic Type R FK8 (2017-2021) and FL5 (2023-2026). The XP carbon-fibre, low-copper semi-metallic compound steps up from OEM pads with a G-G Class friction rating and a maximum operating temperature of 550°C - comfortably handling the demands of hard street driving, autocross, and club track sessions where the Type R's capable chassis asks more from rear braking than most street pads can deliver.

Each pad ships scorched to minimize green fade and accelerate bed-in from the first stop. Application-specific NVH shims and center slots suppress brake noise and manage pad temperature without the compromise of a race-only compound. NSFI copper-free certified, the DB2429XP keeps wheels clean while maintaining strong, consistent bite lap after lap. For best results, pair with DBA T3 slotted 4000 or 5000 Series rear rotors.
