Vehicle Fitment

  • 2008-2021 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series (URJ200/UZJ200, 4WD, 4.5L V8 Twin-Turbo Diesel 1VD-FTV / 4.7L V8 Petrol 2UZ-FE / 5.7L V8 Petrol 3UR-FE) - Rear
  • 2008-2021 Lexus LX570 (URJ201, 4WD, 5.7L V8 Petrol 3UR-FE) - Rear
  • 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra 2nd Gen (USK57/UZK57, RWD/4WD, 4.0L V6 1GR-FE / 4.6L V8 1UR-FE / 5.7L V8 3UR-FE) - Rear
  • 2008-2022 Toyota Sequoia 2nd Gen (USK65, RWD/4WD, 4.6L V8 1UR-FE / 5.7L V8 3UR-FE) - Rear

Fitment Notes

  • Toyota Tundra fitment covers the 2nd Generation platform (2007-2021) only. The 3rd Generation Tundra (2022+) uses a different rear pad fitment and is not covered by this part number.
  • Toyota Sequoia 2nd Generation fitment covers 2008-2022. The 3rd Generation Sequoia (2023+) uses a different rear pad fitment.
  • Supersedes DBA part number DB1857. This is a direct replacement for any vehicle previously running DB1857 pads.
  • Due to multiple brake configurations available across these platform generations, DBA recommends cross-referencing existing pad dimensions against the DB1857XP pad shape diagram before ordering to confirm compatibility.
  • Matching front pad: DBA DB1838XP Xtreme Performance Front Brake Pads for a fully matched front/rear XP braking system.
  • Recommended rotor pairing: DBA 4000 Series T3 or 5000 Series T3 slotted rear rotors for maximum braking performance under towing loads and heavy-duty use conditions.

Features

  • Semi-metallic carbon fibre-enhanced friction compound delivers high initial bite and consistent friction from cold through extreme operating temperatures - the performance profile required at the rear axle of the Land Cruiser 200, LX570, Tundra, and Sequoia platforms, where rear brake loads under heavy towing, fully loaded highway driving, and long descents are substantially greater than on lighter passenger vehicles.
  • G-G class friction rating (0.45 average mu from low to high temperatures) delivers a measurable step up in rear braking force over standard OEM F-class pads, translating to shorter stopping distances under all load conditions and better rear brake contribution during threshold braking events.
  • Optimal braking consistency maintained up to 550°C (1022°F) - the thermal threshold required to handle sustained heavy-duty rear brake loads including mountain descents with a trailer, repeated emergency stops at high GVM, police pursuit, and armoured vehicle applications where OEM pads would begin to fade.
  • Carbon fibre-enhanced, low-copper formulation is NSFI certified and ECE-R90 certified - meeting copper-free brake pad regulations and internationally recognised brake performance certification standards for all markets where these platforms are sold.
  • Factory post-curing (scorching/TSP) process applied during manufacturing raises cold friction effectiveness from the first brake application and shortens the bedding-in period compared to uncured pads - important for working trucks and large 4WDs that may be put directly into heavy service without a formal bed-in opportunity.
  • Application-specific slots machined into the friction face continuously vent heat and expel friction gases and dust during braking, maintaining consistent rear bite across sustained heavy-duty brake cycles and preventing glazing that commonly degrades OEM pads on heavily loaded platforms.
  • Application-specific multi-layered elastomeric coated NVH shims are included, reducing brake squeal and pedal vibration at the rear axle - the Land Cruiser 200 and LX570 in particular are refined daily haulers for whom rear brake noise is conspicuous during normal driving.
  • Direct OE-replacement bolt-on fit - no modification to the factory rear caliper, bracket, or hardware required on any listed Land Cruiser 200, LX570, Tundra, or Sequoia variant.

Product Description

The DBA DB1857XP Xtreme Performance rear brake pads are the rear-axle counterpart to the DB1838XP, together forming DBA's matched XP braking system for the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series (2008-2021), Lexus LX570 (2008-2021), Toyota Tundra 2nd Gen (2007-2021), and Toyota Sequoia 2nd Gen (2008-2022). All four platforms share a rear pad shape that carries G-G class (0.45 avg mu) demands under the platform's real-world use cases - which regularly include towing at or near maximum capacity, sustained highway braking at high GVM, extended off-road descents, and in some markets, police and fleet pursuit applications. The DB1857XP's semi-metallic carbon fibre compound, rated to 550°C (1022°F) and ECE-R90 certified, is built to handle precisely these conditions with consistent, fade-free rear bite that OEM-grade F-class compounds cannot sustain under extended load.

The DB1857XP supersedes the earlier DB1857 and is a direct bolt-on replacement wherever that part number was previously fitted. Toyota Tundra owners should note that this part number covers the 2nd Generation (2007-2021) only - the 3rd Generation Tundra (2022+) uses a different rear pad. Similarly, Sequoia fitment covers the 2nd Generation through 2022, not the 2023+ 3rd Generation. The factory post-curing process shortens the bed-in period significantly, which matters on working trucks and fleet vehicles that go directly into towing or heavy-duty service. Application-specific NVH shims keep the rear brakes quiet and vibration-free in the daily driving conditions that Land Cruiser 200 and LX570 owners in particular encounter - these are refined, expensive platforms where brake noise at the rear is not acceptable.

DBA recommends pairing the DB1857XP with their 4000 Series or 5000 Series T3 slotted rear rotors to form a fully matched rear braking system, and with the DB1838XP at the front for a complete front-to-rear XP upgrade. Together, this combination maximises both initial bite and sustained performance under the extreme loads these vehicles generate in their most demanding applications.
