Product Description

The DBA DBA4650S is a 4000 Series T3 slotted front brake rotor engineered for the 2006-2014 Subaru WRX, 2009-2013 Forester XT, 2013-2024 BRZ, 2013-2016 Scion FR-S, 2017-2020 Toyota 86, and 2022-2024 Toyota GR86 equipped with standard (non-Brembo) front brakes. Sold individually, this 294mm vented rotor is a direct bolt-on replacement that fits both sides thanks to DBA's bi-directional T3 slot pattern, eliminating the need for separate left and right part numbers. The T3 design features 48 CNC-machined tri-symmetrical curved slots that dramatically reduce vibration harmonics compared to traditional straight-slot rotors while increasing the number of exit points for brake pad friction dust and outgassing. Cast from XG150 high-carbon alloyed iron and processed through DBA's Thermal Stability Profiling heat treatment, the rotor resists warping and cracking under repeated high-temperature braking. The patented Kangaroo Paw internal ventilation system uses 144 diamond and teardrop-shaped pillars to deliver up to 30% more surface area and 20% better cooling efficiency over conventional straight-vane designs. A CBN-machined friction surface minimizes disc thickness variation out of the box, and thermographic heat paint markings provide a visual indicator of peak braking temperatures for monitoring rotor fatigue.
