Fitment Notes

• Fits the front axle only - sold as a pair (2 rotors) for a complete front axle replacement.
• The Honda Civic Type R FD2 is a JDM-specification four-door sedan produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and sold as a grey/parallel import in Australia and select export markets. It is not the same vehicle as the FN2 Civic Type R sold new in Australia and Europe.
• The FD2 uses Brembo 4-piston aluminium fixed front calipers from the factory. The DBA2518S is designed as a direct OE-replacement rotor for these Brembo calipers - no caliper or bracket modifications are required.
• Compatible with the OEM front disc specification of 320mm x 25mm vented. If your FD2 has been fitted with an aftermarket big brake kit using different rotor sizing, verify your existing front rotor dimensions before ordering.
• Non-directional T2 slot design - one part number fits both the left and right front positions; no handed (left/right) distinction required.

Product Description

The DBA DBA2518S Street Series T2 Slotted Front Brake Rotor is a direct-fit upgrade rotor for the Honda Civic Type R FD2 (ABA-FD2, 2007-2010). The FD2 is the JDM-specification four-door Civic Type R, distinct from the FN2 hatchback sold new in Australia and Europe, and is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0L K20A DOHC i-VTEC engine producing 225hp. From the factory it features Brembo 4-piston aluminium fixed front calipers clamping a 320 x 25mm vented disc - one of the largest front brake setups of any JDM front-wheel-drive car of its era.

The DBA2518S replaces this OE 320mm front disc with a T2 slotted alternative that adds 32 CNC-machined bi-symmetrical curved slots per rotor. These slots increase the exit points for brake pad gases and friction dust on every stop, sharpening initial pad bite and improving fade resistance during the kind of sustained, high-deceleration braking that the K20A-powered FD2 is capable of on a canyon road or track day. DBA's Kangaroo Paw ventilation - 144 diamond and teardrop-shaped internal pillars - provides up to 20% better cooling efficiency than conventional straight-vane vented rotors, complementing the high-performance intent of the Brembo caliper setup. The CBN machine-turned surface ensures even contact with the Brembo pads from the first stop.
