Product Description

The Cusco 961 540 A is a Type OS front strut tower bar for the 1992-2000 Lexus SC400 (Z30/UZZ31 chassis) equipped with the 4.0L 1UZ-FE V8. The Type OS is Cusco's most popular strut bar design, featuring a lightweight aluminum center shaft with a distinctive oval cross-section and high-polish finish that delivers both rigidity and a clean, show-quality appearance in the engine bay. The internal piping design of the oval shaft balances light weight with structural strength, while the application-specific bar shape is optimized by Cusco's engineers for the SC400 chassis geometry.

The steel end plate brackets are finished in the traditional Cusco blue and are precision-matched to the SC400's strut tower mounting points for a direct bolt-on fitment with no drilling or modifications required. By tying the front strut towers together, this bar reduces upper chassis flex during cornering, lane changes, and high-speed transitions -- delivering sharper steering response, improved turn-in precision, and a more connected front-end feel.
