The Cusco 672 487 S is an OEM rear diffuser mounting bracket kit designed for Subaru Impreza, WRX, and STI models on the GC8 and GD/GDB chassis from 1993 through 2007. The 2006-2007 USDM STI came factory with a rear diffuser that channels underbody air to improve high-speed aerodynamic stability - a feature not present on earlier models. This bracket kit bridges that gap, allowing pre-2006 Impreza WRX and STI owners to install the factory 2006 STI rear diffuser using OEM mounting points.

This bracket must be used together with the Cusco 673 487 A Rear Sub-Frame Brace (sold separately) to complete the installation - the two parts work as a system. The OEM diffuser itself is also sold separately. Installation requires no cutting or permanent modification.
