Product Description

The CSF 8117 is a heavy-duty bar and plate intercooler core dimensioned for the Nissan GT-R R35 and rated to 1,500 WHP. The vertical flow orientation matches the R35's factory intercooler layout, making it the go-to core for custom GT-R intercooler builds where the builder fabricates their own end tanks and inlet/outlet couplings. Bar and plate construction is fundamentally stronger and more boost-pressure-resistant than tube and fin, and CSF's multi-louvered high-precision staggered fin design is optimized for heat transfer on both the ambient air side and the charged air pressure side of the core.

Every unit is hand-built in a clean room using gloves to ensure a clean brazing surface and proper fusion during manufacturing, then batch brazed in CSF's digital vacuum brazing oven before individual pressure testing at 120 psi. This core is used by numerous professional tuning companies as the foundation for GT-R intercooler upgrade kits.
