The CSF 8046 is a universal high-performance bar and plate intercooler core measuring 25" x 12" x 4.5" with a horizontal flow configuration, rated for up to 1,200 wheel horsepower. This core is the larger-depth version of the CSF 8045 (3.5" deep, 1,000 WHP rated), sharing the same 25" x 12" footprint but offering a full inch of additional core depth for greater internal volume, increased cooling surface area, and higher power handling capability. Designed for custom intercooler builds across all vehicle platforms, this core is used by some of the most renowned tuning and performance companies in the industry for extreme boost applications where maximum intercooler cooling capacity is essential.

Every CSF intercooler core is hand-built using jigs and fixtures for a perfectly straight core that ensures easy and precise welding of custom end tanks. Technicians manufacture each core in a clean room environment, wearing gloves inside the CSF factory to ensure proper brazing and a perfectly clean surface for future welding operations. The core features CSF's multi-louvered high-precision staggered fin design on both the ambient (air) and pressure (charge air) sides for optimal heat transfer performance. Each core is then batch brazed in CSF's state-of-the-art digital vacuum brazing ovens - CSF operates 12 vacuum brazing ovens total - ensuring consistent, high-quality brazed joints throughout the core assembly. Following brazing, every individual core undergoes pressure testing at 120 PSI, providing maximum reliability assurance for extreme boost applications.

As a universal intercooler core, the CSF 8046 requires custom end tanks, inlet/outlet piping, mounting brackets, and fabrication work to complete the intercooler assembly. The core's clean, weld-ready surface finish is specifically prepared for TIG welding of custom aluminum end tanks.
