Product Description

The CSF 8188 was the world's first high-performance intercooler system for the Porsche 992 Turbo and Turbo S, released in 2021 through CSF's collaboration with Formula-1 cooling manufacturer PWR. Designed to address the 992 Turbo's unique intercooler placement directly on top of the engine - making heat soak a critical concern even in stock form - the system replaces the OEM crimped-plastic unit with a PWR-built 2-row F1-grade core featuring 33 rolled tubes (vs. OEM's 17) and multi-louvered staggered fins optimized in PWR's in-house wind tunnel. The result is dramatically improved Intake Air Temperature reduction and heat soak resistance throughout the entire rev range, proven on builds from daily-driven Turbo S models all the way to builds exceeding 1,600 WHP.

The CNC machined billet aluminum end tanks include an integrated Y-pipe connection to the throttle body and are 100% TIG-welded - eliminating the OEM design's known vulnerability to cracking under elevated boost pressures. The system installs as a true plug-and-play drop-in replacement using all factory hardware, ducts, and shrouds, with no modifications or cutting required. R&D was validated by M-Engineering, World Motorsports, GMG Racing, and Gosha Turbo Tech. CSF Race also confirms the 8188 fits 2025+ 992.2 Carrera models with the 3.0L non-hybrid turbo engine.
