The Competition Clutch 6072-2400 is a Stage 1 Gravity Series 2400 clutch kit designed for the 2003-2006 Nissan 350Z and 2003-2007 Infiniti G35 equipped with the 3.5L VQ35DE V6 engine and 6-speed manual transmission. The Gravity Series is Competition Clutch's entry-level performance upgrade, offering the most affordable path to increased torque capacity while maintaining the factory clutch pedal feel that daily drivers demand. With a 40-50% increase in torque capacity over the factory clutch, this kit is perfectly suited for stock-power vehicles driven aggressively or moderately modified naturally aspirated VQ35DE engines with bolt-on modifications such as cold air intakes, exhaust systems, headers, and ECU tunes.

The 6-pad Carbotic disc is the defining feature of the Gravity Series. Unlike the Brass Plus or ceramic friction materials used in higher-stage Competition Clutch kits, the Carbotic material provides a smooth, progressive engagement character that closely mirrors the factory clutch feel. There is no increase in pedal effort and no aggressive grab or chatter - just a stronger clutch that holds more torque while behaving exactly like the OEM unit in daily driving. The Carbotic material also provides excellent heat resistance and extended service life compared to the factory organic friction material, making this an ideal replacement for worn factory clutches on higher-mileage 350Z and G35 vehicles.

This kit is expressly designed for naturally aspirated applications - Competition Clutch specifies that it should not be used with added forced induction such as turbochargers, superchargers, or nitrous oxide systems. For forced induction VQ35DE builds or significantly higher power levels, the Stage 2 (6072-2100, 80% torque increase), Stage 3 (6072-2600, 150% torque increase), and Stage 4 (6072-1620, 250% torque increase) kits are available. Note that this kit does not fit the 2007+ 350Z or G35 models equipped with the VQ35HR engine, which uses a different clutch assembly. The flywheel is not included and must be sourced separately.
