The Competition Clutch FRK-5048 is a direct-fit forged steel clutch release fork engineered as a heavy-duty upgrade over the factory stamped steel unit for 1G/2G DSM, Galant VR4, and Lancer Evolution I-III platforms. Built from 4140 forged steel, it is far more resistant to the bending, warping, and cracking that commonly affects OEM forks under high-torque clutch loads - a well-known failure point on the 4G63 platform, especially when running upgraded clutch kits. The fork has been designed to work with virtually any clutch system, from OEM-replacement single-disc setups to aggressive twin-disc kits.

Unlike the stock fork, the FRK-5048 features a replaceable pivot ball clip - meaning if the clip is damaged, the fork itself does not need to be replaced, saving both time and cost. Installation uses all OEM-spec hardware including the stock pivot ball and throwout bearing, so no bellhousing modification is needed.
