Fitment Notes

  • This is the replacement ceramic disc for the Comp1 / Competition Clutch K-Series Super Single Clutch Kit (4S-8037-C) only - it is a single disc assembly with no floater plate
  • Spline: 1-1/32" x 24 - matches the K-Series hydraulic transmission input shaft; not interchangeable with B-Series discs (1-1/32" x 22 spline)
  • Not compatible with the K-Series Twin Disc kit (4-8037-C) - that assembly uses TM2-880K-A (upper) and TM2-880K-B (lower); the Super Single disc hub geometry and stack interface differ from the twin disc discs
  • Not compatible with K-Series Triple Disc kit (4T-8037-C)
  • Road race and street application only - not recommended for drag racing use; for drag racing, the twin disc kit (4-8037-C) is the appropriate choice
  • Sold as a single disc

Features

  • Direct replacement for the single ceramic disc in the Comp1 K-Series Super Single assembly - enables individual disc replacement without purchasing a complete new kit
  • 1-1/32" x 24 spline is engineered specifically for the K-Series hydraulic transmission input shaft - direct drop-in with no modification required
  • Ceramic friction material provides the heat resistance and torque capacity suited to the Super Single's ~500 whp application range
  • The Super Single uses a single ceramic disc against the 7.25" (184mm) flywheel - delivering more engagement sharpness and heat capacity than a Stage 4 puck disc, without the complexity of a twin disc floater stack
  • Individual disc replacement keeps rebuild cost low - the flywheel, pressure plate, and throw out bearing can be retained if in serviceable condition
  • Manufactured by Comp1 / Competition Clutch in the USA

Product Description

The Comp1 Clutch TM2-880K-C is the replacement ceramic disc for the K-Series Super Single Clutch Kit (4S-8037-C), covering 2002-2006 Acura RSX, 2004-2008 Acura TSX, 2003-2007 Honda Accord, 2002-2011 Honda Civic Si, 2002-2006 Honda CR-V, and 2003-2011 Honda Element applications with the K-Series hydraulic transmission. The Super Single is positioned between a conventional Stage 4 single disc and the full twin disc assembly - using the same 7.25" (184mm) diameter and 4140 forged steel flywheel platform as the 4-8037-C twin disc kit, but with a single ceramic disc and no floater plate stack. This results in a lighter, simpler assembly suited to road race and all-motor K-Series builds up to approximately 500 whp.

The TM2-880K-C shares the same 1-1/32" x 24 K-Series hydraulic spline as the twin disc discs (TM2-880K-A and TM2-880K-B), but is not interchangeable with either - the Super Single disc interfaces directly with the pressure plate and flywheel without a floater, giving it a distinct hub geometry and engagement profile. Replacing only the disc at service intervals avoids the cost of a full kit and keeps the existing flywheel and pressure plate in service when they remain in usable condition. This disc is intended for road racing and street use - for drag racing applications, the twin disc kit (4-8037-C) and its corresponding replacement discs are the correct choice.
