Fitment Notes

• Correct length for 1985-and-later Ford 302 / 5.0L blocks ONLY - these blocks have taller lifter bosses to accommodate the factory hydraulic roller lifters, requiring a longer pushrod (6.248 in.) than the pre-1985 302 blocks
• NOT compatible with 1969-1984 Ford 302 flat tappet blocks - those applications require a shorter pushrod (approximately 6.900 in. is incorrect; pre-roller 302 pushrods are shorter)
• NOT compatible with Ford 351 Windsor - the 351W uses a significantly longer pushrod due to its taller deck height
• Requires screw-in rocker studs and guideplates - these pushrods are guideplate compatible and heat treated for use with guideplates

The COMP Cams 7826-16 is a set of 16 High Energy pushrods engineered specifically for the 1985-and-later Ford 302 / 5.0L V8 equipped with the factory OE hydraulic roller camshaft. When Ford introduced the hydraulic roller valvetrain in the 1985 model year 302, they redesigned the block with taller lifter bosses to accommodate the roller lifters - this change raised the lifter position and required a longer pushrod than the pre-1985 flat tappet 302. The 7826-16 is dimensioned precisely for this application at 6.248 in. length and 5/16 in. diameter, making it the correct drop-in replacement or upgrade for any 1985+ 302 hydraulic roller build.
