The COMP Cams 127020 Mutha' Thumpr NSR camshaft set brings a truly aggressive idle and powerful high-end performance to Ford's 4.6 L and 5.4 L 3-Valve Modular V8 engines. Designed with "No Springs Required" technology, this cam works with your stock valve springs - making it a convenient upgrade that doesn't need extra spring work.

With a wide operating range from 750 to 6,600 rpm and long-duration lobes (273° intake / 306° exhaust), this cam produces strong power gains above 4,900 rpm while giving your engine a deep, muscular tone. Its 109° lobe separation ensures a lopey, classic Thumpr idle that's unmistakable.

To get the most out of this cam, a custom tune and a phaser limiter (to control cam phasing) are recommended. It's ideally suited for build-focused street cars, Mustangs, F-150s, and other Ford modular applications where sound and performance matter - and it does all this without requiring costly valve spring upgrades.
