Product Description

The Cognito 199-91320 Alpha Ball Joint is a heavy-duty replacement specifically engineered for use in Cognito upper control arms on 1999-2018 Silverado and Sierra 1500 trucks. Built without any plastic liner, the all-alloy internals and oversized taper pin give it significantly more pullout strength than a typical plastic-lined ball joint, addressing the premature wear that larger tires and high cornering loads tend to cause.

Its scraper-style bootless seal sidesteps the most common ball joint failure point - a torn rubber dust boot - while still keeping moisture and debris out. The joint ships pre-greased and can be topped off through an included grease fitting, and because it's press-fit and rebuildable, maintenance can be done without pulling the control arm off the truck. 2014-2018 trucks need to confirm they're running OEM cast steel control arms before ordering, since stamped steel/aluminum arm trucks use a different ball joint.
