The Cognito 110-91244 is a tubular ball joint upper control arm kit designed for the 2020-2025 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. This kit is a direct replacement for the factory stamped steel upper control arms and is ideal for stock, leveled, and lifted applications where improved suspension geometry, better ride quality, and enhanced durability are desired. The tubular steel construction is CNC robot welded for consistent strength and finished in a durable semi-gloss black powder coat that resists corrosion and complements the truck's undercarriage appearance.

The key advantage of the Cognito upper control arms is their modified ball joint angle, which corrects the suspension geometry for trucks running at stock height, leveled, or lifted. Factory stamped steel upper control arms were originally designed as droop travel limiters, which placed excessive stress on the upper ball joints and caused premature wear - particularly on trucks with leveling kits, lift kits, or larger tires. The Cognito design eliminates this problem by improving the allowable droop travel so that the shocks or limit straps control droop rather than the upper control arm, significantly extending the service life of the ball joints, tie rods, CV axles, and other front suspension components. The added caster also improves highway-speed stability and straight-line tracking.

Each arm comes pre-assembled with press-in maintenance-free high-angle heavy-duty ball joints and maintenance-free pivot bushings, eliminating the need for periodic greasing and providing long-lasting, trouble-free operation in all conditions. Installation is a straightforward direct bolt-in process with no drilling or modification required. This kit supersedes previous Cognito part number 110-90802. Note that the 2024+ Silverado 2500HD ZR2 and Sierra 2500HD AT4X use a different Cognito upper control arm kit (110-91252) due to their unique suspension design.
