Fitment Notes

• Fits both 2WD and 4WD models
• This kit is specifically for trucks equipped with OEM stamped steel or cast aluminum upper control arms - you must verify your factory upper control arm type before ordering
• Does NOT fit trucks with OEM cast steel upper control arms - those use Cognito kit 210-P0957
• To identify your control arm type: stamped steel arms are flat sheet metal; cast aluminum arms are thick and have a rough cast texture with a silver/gray color; cast steel arms are thick with a rough cast texture and a dark gray/black color
• Does not fit the 2019+ Silverado/Sierra 1500 - those use Cognito kit 210-P0874 or 210-P0879
• Does not fit the 2013 and earlier Silverado/Sierra 1500

The Cognito 210-P0962 is a complete 3-inch performance ball joint leveling kit with Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks designed for the 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. This kit is specifically engineered for trucks equipped with OEM stamped steel or cast aluminum upper control arms - trucks with OEM cast steel control arms require the separate Cognito kit 210-P0957. The kit bundles everything needed to properly level the truck - Cognito Ball Joint SM Series Upper Control Arms, Fox 2.0 Performance Series Coilover IFP front shocks, and Fox 2.0 Performance Series Monotube rear shocks - all with hardware included. The result is 3 inches of front lift that eliminates the factory nose-down rake and provides significantly improved ride quality through corrected suspension geometry and high-performance Fox shock absorbers.

The Cognito Ball Joint SM Series Upper Control Arms feature boxed sheet metal construction that is CNC robot welded and powder coated in semi-gloss black. Press-in ball joints are pre-installed and retained with black anodized Cognito-branded laser-etched caps, and new crush sleeves and polyurethane bushings are included for a complete installation. The corrected ball joint angle is designed specifically for the 3-inch lift height, restoring proper suspension geometry and improving the allowable droop travel. Ample droop travel is critical for good ride quality and for all suspension components - including ball joints, tie rods, and CV axles - to last and work properly. The factory upper control arms become droop travel limiters when the truck is leveled, causing premature ball joint wear and a harsh ride - the Cognito arms eliminate this problem.

The Fox 2.0 Performance Series Coilover IFP front shocks are purpose-built for the 3-inch lift height and feature rust-resistant metal impact extruded aluminum bodies with increased cooling capacity for consistent damping performance during sustained use. The Internal Floating Piston eliminates oil aeration, maintaining maximum performance from the factory-tuned precision valving in all driving conditions.
