The Clutch Masters FCV-2000 Flow Control Valve is designed to reduce driveline shock loads during aggressive clutch engagements by allowing the clutch to slip slightly upon engagement. This is achieved by precisely controlling the return flow of hydraulic fluid using one of three interchangeable jets (.030", .040", .050"). The valve does not restrict flow during disengagement, ensuring that under normal driving conditions, pedal release and engagement feel unchanged.
