Product Description

The Clutch Masters FW-775-AL is a lightweight aluminum flywheel for the 2014-2019 Mazda 3 and 2013-2017 Mazda 6 equipped with the 2.5L Skyactiv-G (PY-VPS) engine and 6-speed manual transmission. At just 15 lbs, this flywheel dramatically reduces rotational mass compared to the heavy factory dual mass unit, delivering faster throttle response, quicker engine revving, and more direct power delivery to the drivetrain. CNC machined from a solid 6061-T6 billet aluminum core on Clutch Masters' in-house Haas CNC lathes, each flywheel is checked throughout the machining process for critical tolerances and zero balanced to spin 100% true.

The Type 3 Mil-Spec hard anodized finish provides the ultimate in surface durability and aluminum protection. A replaceable steel friction insert is pre-installed and torqued to spec, allowing the insert to be replaced at future service intervals without purchasing a new flywheel. SFI 1.2 certified for use in all sanctioned racing bodies. This flywheel is compatible with the OEM clutch kit or any Clutch Masters FX100 through FX500 single disc clutch kit. Note: replacing the factory dual mass flywheel with a single mass unit will increase transmission gear noise and NVH -- this is a normal characteristic of the conversion.
