Product Description

The Carrillo BLT-GAUGE is a precision tool designed to measure the actual stretch of rod bolts during engine assembly. Unlike torque-only methods, this tool lets builders monitor bolt elongation - a more reliable indicator of preload - ensuring reliably consistent clamping force.

With a dial readable to 0.001 inches and an adjustable design, it accommodates a wide range of bolt lengths (up to ~2.75"). The built-in spring applies consistent tension so you can measure how much a fastener stretches under real conditions, helping to avoid under- or over-clamping.

This gauge is vital for high-performance builds using Carrillo rods or other aftermarket connecting rods. It helps engine builders verify proper bolt preload, reduce the risk of bolt failure, and ensure long-term reliability under high-stress conditions.
