These keepers are specifically designed to fit Brian Crower's own BC2010 and BC2011 retainers, insuring against the shoulder shearing that's common with stock or lesser-quality keeper sets under sustained high-RPM valve spring pressure.

Honda changed keeper groove angles on late-model cylinder heads (K20 after 2004), meaning factory stock keepers may not properly fit BC's aftermarket retainers -- running the wrong keeper angle on these heads risks damage to the valvetrain.
