The Brian Crower BC0163 is a Stage 4 full race camshaft set engineered for the 2.4L DOHC turbocharged engine shared across the Dodge Neon SRT-4 and Chrysler PT Cruiser GT/Turbo platforms. Derived from the popular Brian Crower "18" spec profile, the Stage 4 grind pushes duration to 280 degrees advertised and 212°/213° at .050", with valve lift of .399" (10.13mm) on both intake and exhaust sides. This is the most aggressive profile in Brian Crower's SRT-4 camshaft lineup, built specifically for high-boost, large-turbo applications where maximum cylinder fill and extended duration are required to support elevated power levels. Every BC camshaft is ground on state-of-the-art CNC grinding equipment to tolerances within .02mm, and verified on an Adcole measuring system with .01 micron resolution and 3,600 data points per revolution -- the same sub-micron accuracy measurement used in professional motorsport engine programs. Each profile is prototyped and dyno-tested before entering mass production, ensuring proven horsepower gains rather than theoretical specifications. Due to the aggressive profile, the BC0163 requires ECU modification to manage the altered valve timing events and prevent calibration issues at idle and part-throttle. Brian Crower's valvetrain upgrade kit BC0159/BC0160 is required and must be purchased separately to complete the installation. A cam timing tag is included with the kit. This product is not intended for street or mild street/strip use and is best suited for dedicated performance builds targeting high horsepower output.
